- In November 2007 our 3 year old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor, a grade IV astrocytoma known as glioblastoma multiforme. Joseph had three surgeries, 6 weeks of radiation at St. Jude's in Memphis, and multiple chemo drugs before God took him home the day after his fourth birthday on Aug. 21, 2008.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

About Pediatric GBM
--Glioblastoma multiforme is a high-grade, or malignant, glioma, a tumor of the glial (supportive) tissue of the brain. Glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma, account for approximately 10 percent of pediatric central nervous system tumors.
--The incidence of glioblastoma multiforme per 100,000 population is 0.2 in the under 14 year age group
--The prognosis for glioblastoma multiformes remains poor. The best reported survival rates for radically removed tumors treated with adjuvant radiation therapy approaches 25 percent at 5 years. This is a minority of patients, however, and most fall into the incompletely removed category with 5-year survival rates of less than 5 percent.

Gillian and Allen holly and junee berry.We love you all so much.It seems not so long at all since we were in the hospital welcoming sweet Joe P into the world.It is so hard to believe it has been three years tomorrow that he entered eternal rest. The days are long and the years are fast. Remember the fun times. Praying for you today...we love you. Not a day goes by that we don't miss sweet Joe...not a day goes by that we don't smile over some memory we have of him. We hold on to the Hope of the Gospel with you. Yesterday when I told my class that his birthday is today one of them said, "Well, God will have a bigger and better birthday party than even his own parents could give him! Can you imagine how many balloons Joe will have??" Sweet! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, dear sweet Joseph!
Love you, Peabody's. I can't watch this video without weeping, but it was encouraging to me in my overdue pregnancy state as I was thinking that those 10 extra days of pregnancy with Joseph were more than worth the wait for nearly four years of life with him. I'm so sorry you have to live without him now. I pray that God will help you as you wait for the day when you can be with him again. It will happen, as surely as his birth (finally!) did. Praying for you all as your hearts ache to be with him now.
Our prayers have been with you. Thank you for sharing the video with us. Joseph was blessed to have such a loving family here on earth.

Gillian, that was absolutely beautiful. I cried all the way through, because I was struck by Joseph's beautiful smile and how I see him in both of your girls now. I'm thinking of your family and praying for sweet memories for all of you.

Thank you for all your kind words. We appreciate you remembering Joseph and praying for us. We still miss him as much now as we did 3 years ago... It helps to know we are loved and that Joseph is remembered, though. "And Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight, the skies be rolled back as a scroll. The trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend. Even so, it is well with my soul."
All baby boys should be so well loved.
Dad and I cried at different times today remembering Joseph .I agree with the quote from the Hymn "It is well with my soul" We love you all so much.You need to tape Holly singing Mumford and sons !! Nana bear.
