Great pictures...and I love your title, Gazing Heavenward. Amen! There was a rainbow yesterday in the sky...remembering how we saw so many of them when Joseph went to be with Jesus. Sending love to you all, Mimi
LOVE the photos...proof that folks all over in many different places were thinking of Joseph on his birthday. Surely he smiled as the balloons floated up toward him.
thinking of you tonight Gillian - love seeing the pictures and the slideshow. Holly and June are darling - i know they bring you great joy, but no doubt that deep ache in your heart and longing for Joseph to be a part of it all - our minds can't begin to comprehend that is for sure.
love Allen's songs - will share this with some friends of ours whose son left them for Heaven 3 mos ago
just wanted you to know i am praying for you tonight.
In November 2007 our 3 year old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor, a grade IV astrocytoma known as glioblastoma multiforme. Joseph had three surgeries, 6 weeks of radiation at St. Jude's in Memphis, and multiple chemo drugs before God took him home the day after his fourth birthday on Aug. 21, 2008.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

--Glioblastoma multiforme is a high-grade, or malignant, glioma, a tumor of the glial (supportive) tissue of the brain. Glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma, account for approximately 10 percent of pediatric central nervous system tumors. --The incidence of glioblastoma multiforme per 100,000 population is 0.2 in the under 14 year age group --The prognosis for glioblastoma multiformes remains poor. The best reported survival rates for radically removed tumors treated with adjuvant radiation therapy approaches 25 percent at 5 years. This is a minority of patients, however, and most fall into the incompletely removed category with 5-year survival rates of less than 5 percent.
