Happy Birthday Holly Bear

Three years ago today we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Holly Taaffe Peabody. She was 9 pounds 12 oz and 20.5 inches long. She was a sweet baby who rarely cried and was content most of the time to listen and watch her big brother run circles around the house. We are so thankful for our little Holly bear. She continue to be such a sweet, caring, bright and fun little girl who brings so much joy and happiness to our lives. Below are some pictures scanned into the computer (which explains why they are a little slanted) from Holly's "first" birthday. And yes, that is my real belly.

This year for Holly's birthday we had a princess party. The first thing she said to me when she woke me up was, "Thank you for decorating my house." She was so excited to see streamers and balloons in the kitchen in preparation for her party. She really enjoyed the festivities and we are so grateful to everyone who came to make it a special day for her. I have observed that most children actually do not enjoy their own parties very much when they are little (mine included). I don't know if it is overstimulation or just being overwhelmed at all the noise and people, but I have to say Holly seemed to enjoy every minute and seemed very at ease with all the attention. Here are some pictures from her big princess day:

Ariel and Cinderalla love each other.

We made handprint princess and king t-shirts.

Thanks to artist Aunt Jennifer all the t-shirts turned out beautifully.

Princess Annie

I found this cake online and decided to try it. I'm so glad it didn't fall!

Big three year old blowing out her candles. Happy Birthday Holly! We love you so much.

What a great celebration it was.Princess Holly looked beautiful aka "Cinderella" The cake was amazing Gill and it tasted great. After the party Nana-Bear (as Joe P. affectionately called me and now little Holly-Bear calls me Nana -Bear just like her big brother)took a 3 hour nap those of yuu that know me well know I am not a napper. It was a great nap mainly because I dreampt about Joe P. The dream was pretty funny and Joe P. was laughing hysterically in the dream. The sad part was waking up to realize that he was not here with us.We all missed him yesterday at holly Bears party. His contageous laugh will ring in my ears forever. His love for life will always be an inspiration to me to cherish each day I have here on earth with my precious family and loved ones.Happy Birthday Holly we love you."This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it"Nana-Bear Grandad and David...ps.Grandad wants to play castles again soon.

That party looks fantastic! I love the picture of your belly. But what I would love even MORE is the photo of your bare belly with your shirt tied up 80's style. That is my favorite pregnancy picture of all time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOLLY!

Happy Belated Birthday, Holly! I can't believe she is already 3, although I guess that makes perfect sense. The party looks like a blast...esp. that yummy cake (you are so brave, and good at that). Wish we could have been closer to celebrate with you.
Love,

Oh Gillian. The one and only time I met you was when we were both prego, with my now 3 year old "Bear" and your Holly Bear. Wow how time flies. I don't know if Ashley told you but we're prego with #3. Anyway, Gillian. I think about you very often and pray for you. Blessings- Audrey
